Congresswoman Jackie Speier of California recalls events inside the chambers as rioters overran security at the Capitol on January 6.

California Congresswoman Jackie Speier has some experience with cults; she was shot by gunmen while trying to leave the Jonestown compound in Guyana in 1978. She illuminates similarities between Peoples Temple followers and Trump supporters.

Representative Jackie Speier has requested forming a commission to investigate the security breach at the Capitol and whether rioters had inside help, along with a secondary investigation to examine violent white-nationalist extremism.

The Breakdown host Rick Wilson likens the scene at the Capitol to a set from Donald Trump's real-life reality show and warns to expect further shenanigans as the clock winds down.

Counter-terrorism expert Errol Southers notes how one of the most secure facilities in the country was compromised by an unorganized and largely unarmed group. Like the Charlottesville rally, multiple intelligence failures preceded the attack.
